Figurative-lyrical-poetical Art

Figurative art is an artistic style in painting which is manifested by the representation of the visible.
Jacques Berger défines his art as Figurative-lyrical-poetical Art, The Artwork doesn't copy the visible but represents something else. What it represents is a sensitive world, which appears as an image.
From a figurative representation, the Figurative-lyrical-poetical Art especially wants to translate the direct expression of the artist's emotion. It is therefore the deep feelings of the artist that take precedence over everything else. This is a specific pictorial creation and the evolution towards this langage of emotions is done through color the search of harmonies, the gesture of creation, the work with the superimposed layers of paint scratched or carved.. The artist use classical process in painting with brushes, knifes, projection of paint, the brushing, scraping of the canvas and all tools without limit...
For the artist the creation is writing a story with paint, a pathway, an approch a research. Once completed the work remains unfinished for observers. It is polysemic that is the translation of the variability of the world as everyone perceives it.

Behind the appearance of the work the artist wants to be the witness to the consciousness of being and of nostalgia for its finitude.
